Artist Trading Card Challenge

Hi y'all,

Is your new year off to an artful start?  Mine is, but Christmas break ends soon and I'll have to squeeze in time for art play.  To help with art fun and games Paper Artsy has an ATC (artist trading card) challenge.   To read more about it click here.
My ATC project
I found this small pad of watercoloring paper for blank postcards at the bargain bin of Tuesday Morning, and I trimmed it to 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 which is the standard size for many trading cards.  Then using Tattered Angels spray in Vintage Green and  Gold I sprayed the background.  The gold is quite pale and left a subtle sheen.  When the cards dried, I stamped a Tim Holtz word stamp in Toffee Versafine Ink.  Versa Inks hold up well after dry when adding more water or mediums.   Then in Spanish Moss Versafine Ink I stamped some circles from the Paper Artsy stamp ETS02.   I scraped brown rust paste with an old gift card to give my background texture.  The cards rested over night until everything was dry.
I found some images of hands I liked, printed them out, and using graphite paper I traced them onto  some script tissue paper.  I roughly colored the hands with peach gelato and cut them out.  I placed the little hands on the cards, then picked them up and using my beloved Tiny Tree Ring Stamp I stamped with Crimson Red Versafine.  I think the rings add some energy and focus to my little hands which I stuck down with some matte gel.

I used Inktense pencils to had shading and a few details.  Then to complete the cards, I used a brand new Pink Bunkadoo product that I designed for me and the crafters of faith out there:  Paper Faith Stickers!  I chose beautiful words from my favorite verses.  There are  154 words to choose from.  Oh joy!!

I hope you try this challenge.  If you want to trade cards let me know,  I have  three to share.

Blessings,

Carolyn
