Travel Mercies

Hey Y'all,

If someone's loved one is coming home for a visit, your friend may ask for travel mercies.  Or if your friend is leaving home on a trip, they may ask for travel mercies.  Simply travel mercies are prayers for safety for loved ones or friends who are traveling.

Mustard Seed Faith Challenge's theme is to created something travel mercy related.  You can find out more about the challenge here.  I heard about it from the kind and talented Yoonsun Hur on her amazing blog  Rejoicing Crafts.

I decided to make two cards for this challenge.  For my first card I used a piece of mono printing that I had made previously.  If you want to know more about gelli plates click here for a post about that.  Then I stamped my Bitty Balloon stamp on a piece of scrap paper.  I'm all about using up the scraps.  I quickly colored it with copic markers, cut it out and glued it on my mono print panel.  I printed my sentiment on the computer.  If the stamp doesn't say what you want make what you wish on your computer:  just type it and print it!  A few little hearts finished the panel.  I glued the panel to some white card stock.

For my second card I stamped my Bitty Bike stamp on a diagonal across the entire card front in charcoal gray.  Then I took another scrap of mono printing, stamped the bike one more time and then stamped peace from my Fruits of the Spirit Stamp Set.

I really enjoyed this challenge a lot and appreciate Yoonsun for sharing it with me.  Now you are invited.

Blessings and mercies,
Carolyn
